Tocororo... a Cuban tale
Como No is the producer of Carlos Acosta’s Tocororo. The show was created in Havana in 2002/3 and premiered at the Sala Garcia Lorca on Feb 15 2003.

Tocororo subsequently broke all box office records at Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London, was nominated for an Olivier award and has since appeared in major venues and festivals in Europe and the Far East.

The show was written and choreographed by Carlos Acosta, arguably the greatest ballet dancer of his generation and currently Guest Principal with the Royal Ballet in London and with American Ballet Theatre in New York. Tocororo combines, contemporary and Afro Cuban dance with classical ballet in a spectacular and moving story. The show features 19 dancers drawn from Cuba’s national companies in the fields of ballet, contemporary and folkloric dance and a live band.
